In 2016, I was awarded a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award in the News Series category for my three-part series on WAMU 88.5, “Flipped Off: In D.C.’s Thriving Market for Renovated Homes, It’s Buyer Beware.” That same year I also won second place in the national Katherine Schneider Journalism Award for Excellence in Reporting on Disability for my four-part series, “From Institution to Inclusion: For D.C. residents with developmental disabilities, it’s been a decades-long fight to be treated like everyone else.”
